Peace and War 031
31) A Safe Hospital vs A Destroyed Hospital
Normal Life
In peaceful times, hospitals are places of safety. Emergency services are available day and night. Skilled doctors, nurses, and modern medical equipment are ready to help. Families feel secure because they know medical care is nearby. When someone becomes sick or injured, they can receive treatment quickly. A strong healthcare system gives people confidence and protects every family.
Life During War
War can destroy hospitals and healthcare systems. Hospitals become overcrowded with injured people, while electricity, medicine, and medical equipment may no longer work. Some hospitals are damaged or completely destroyed. Basic medical care becomes very difficult or impossible. Families may lose loved ones from illnesses or injuries that could have been treated in peaceful times. The place that once saved lives becomes another victim of war.
Peace keeps hospitals alive as places of healing, not places where hope is lost.
