Peace and War 029

29) Good Transportation Access vs Broken Transport Routes

Normal Life
In normal times, strong transportation and logistics systems are the invisible gears that keep life moving. Goods from far away can be delivered to our homes quickly. Public transport arrives on time, and smooth connections between cities make it easy to send farm products or handmade goods to bigger markets. Stable infrastructure lowers the cost of living and gives us confidence that no matter where we live, important resources can reach us and our family regularly and fairly.

Abnormal Life Because of War
When war destroys bridges, roads, and railways, the main lifelines of society are cut off and become paralyzed. The logistics system that once worked smoothly disappears, leaving communities isolated in the middle of shortages. Parents feel deep pain when the products they worked hard to make rot away because there is no way to send them out, while necessary goods from outside cannot come in. The resources that remain become extremely expensive because transport is so difficult. War does not only destroy steel and concrete. It also destroys the system that connects opportunity, food, and a decent life for families. It leaves people trapped in the darkness of a broken economy with no clear way forward.

Peace makes the world smaller and easier to reach through safe and stable routes.
