Peace and War 011
11) A Beautiful and Joyful World vs A Brutal and Cruel Worl
Normal Life
A happy childhood means having the right to be innocent, without carrying the burdens of the adult world. It means being excited by soap bubbles in the bathtub, playing tag with neighbors until sunset, and having parents comfort you after a small fall or scrape. This peaceful life protects a child’s heart and mind, helping them grow up in a balanced way. Children learn to believe that the world is a safe and trustworthy place where they are free to learn, grow, and explore.
Life Changed by War
When war begins, innocence is cruelly stolen away. Childhood, which should be filled with play and laughter, is replaced by the heavy burden of survival. Children must learn to recognize the sound of fighter jets instead of birds singing. They must learn how to crawl away from bullets instead of running freely across fields. The brightness in their eyes disappears and is replaced by fear and constant caution. Parents suffer when they see their children grow up too quickly just to survive in a brutal world. Peaceful childhood disappears, leaving behind young hearts damaged by seeing violence become a normal part of daily life. The loss of a normal childhood leaves deep scars that parents can never truly forget.
Peace is the basic right that allows children to truly be children with happiness and dignity.
