Peace and War 006

6) Security for the Future vs Hopelessness

Normal Life

As parents, one of the greatest joys is watching the savings account for our child’s education slowly grow, just like our child grows taller each year.

We buy health insurance, choose a good school, and build savings and property to help our child have a better future after we are gone.

These protections help us sleep peacefully at night, knowing that no matter how the world changes, our child will still have a strong foundation to begin adult life with confidence and stability.

Life and War

War can destroy a lifetime of security in a single moment.

Insurance papers and land documents become meaningless when a country collapses.

The money saved for a child’s future can lose almost all its value because of extreme inflation, sometimes not even enough to buy a loaf of bread.

Parents feel lost when the safety net they spent years building is suddenly torn apart.

Instead of leaving wealth and opportunity for the next generation, they can only pass down the heavy burden of survival and poverty that their children never chose.

The promises of stability made to their children become painful reminders of hopes that no longer exist.

War is a thief that cruelly steals away the foundation of a child’s future.
